In the midst of a Wyoming residency
Jentel Week One:
Week One of Three at Jentel Artist Residency has passed. I’m here working on my 2026 album. Things are going well, I’ve made demos for two songs so far. I’ll be taking them to work with producer Skot B. in Summer.
Lots and lots of photos to wade through here. Here’s a video serenading the cows. Yes, it was cold. After shooting this I set down my trumpet for a few minutes and the valves froze so I couldn’t play any longer.

In other news:
I’m one year into a collaboration with author Oshri Hakak, illustrating his children’s book Ice Cream Shop, an allegory of colonization. Our first collaboration was for his book Strong Like a Pansy. I assisted my student Phyllis, who did the illustration.
